Widefield bathroom remodeling

Bathroom remodeling in Widefield, CO

Solid surface showers and full bathroom remodels, fitted by our own crew.

Why call a bathrooms-only crew

One trade, done properly.

Stillwater Bath and Shower remodels bathrooms in Widefield, just south of Colorado Springs. Widefield is not an incorporated town and has no city hall of its own, so the answer to “who do I call?” is different for almost every service here. For a bathroom permit the answer is Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, the same office that covers Colorado Springs.

One crew, start to finish

Solid surface showers, no grout

Vanities, floors and fixtures

A price agreed before we start

Bathrooms only, nothing else

Finished white solid surface tub and shower surround with a built-in niche

Widefield is a short run south of our base in Colorado Springs. The job does not change: solid surface showers with no grout to scrub, tub-to-shower conversions usually finished in a day, bathtub and shower replacement, and full remodels taken end to end by a single crew. We do bathrooms and nothing else.

We have not finished a bathroom in Widefield yet. Any Widefield job goes to the same crew that handles our bathroom remodeling in Colorado Springs.

Local detail

What is different about a bathroom remodel in Widefield?

Widefield is not a town, and that shapes how work gets done here. Together with Security it forms a census-designated place recorded as Security-Widefield, which counted 38,639 people at the 2020 census. That makes it larger than the City of Fountain next door, and yet it has no municipal government of its own. It is unincorporated El Paso County. There is no Widefield city hall to call, and a contractor who tells you they will pull a Widefield permit does not know the area.

Your permit goes to the same place a Colorado Springs permit goes. Because this is unincorporated El Paso County, Pikes Peak Regional Building Department handles the permit and the inspections, exactly as it does for Colorado Springs, Fountain, Manitou Springs, Monument and Palmer Lake. That part is simple.

Water and sewer come from a special district. There is no city utility. Two separate bodies cover the area, the Widefield Water and Sanitation District and the Security Water and Sanitation District. Which one serves you depends on where the house sits, and we check that before the job. On top of that, electric for parts of Security and Widefield comes from Fountain Utilities, the neighboring city’s own provider. So a bathroom job here can involve a water district, Fountain Utilities for power in parts of the area, and the regional building department.

You are at 5,847 feet. That has no bearing on how a shower is built.

Prices

What does a bathroom remodel cost in Widefield?

Widefield prices are our Colorado Springs prices. There is no separate Widefield rate.

  • Partial refresh or vanity update: $2,500 to $6,500
  • Tub-to-shower conversion: $12,000 to $16,000
  • Mid-range full remodel, same layout: $25,000 to $30,000
  • High-end or full gut remodel: $30,000 to $40,000

Typical ranges, not a quote; your exact price comes at the free in-home visit. The bathroom remodel cost guide goes through each tier in more detail.

The figure moves on one question above all others: does the plumbing move. If the drain and supply stay put, the price stays down. Move the shower across the room and the floor gets involved, which is the biggest swing in cost. You get the price in writing before anything is taken apart.

Why it matters who shows up

One crew, one price, one number to call

Bathroom remodels mostly go wrong on coordination, with too many trades in too little space. Ours are quoted and installed by the same crew, and one phone number covers it if something is not right.

One accountable crew, not four trades to chase.

Quality company - responsive when asked questions, encouraged personal choices. Never felt pressured to choose a specific product. Specifically appreciated their willingness to make adjustments- for My project the willingness to do a work through with the tub - results are great. Taylor & Steve were on schedule. Really appreciated that they kept to the schedule (done in 3 days!) and were always concerned about leaving the worksite clean when they left for the day. Follow up was great and made sure the project was complete. Highly recommend & will definitely use them for the next bathroom remodel!

Is Widefield its own town?

No. Widefield and neighboring Security form a census-designated place recorded as Security-Widefield, which had 38,639 residents at the 2020 census, so it is larger than the City of Fountain next door. It has no municipal government and is part of unincorporated El Paso County, so there is no Widefield city hall and no Widefield permit.

Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, because Widefield is unincorporated El Paso County. It is the same department, the same process and the same inspectors that cover Colorado Springs, so this part is straightforward. We handle the filing as part of the job.

A special district rather than a city utility. The Widefield Water and Sanitation District and the Security Water and Sanitation District both serve parts of the community, and which one serves you depends on the address. Electric for parts of Security and Widefield comes from Fountain Utilities. We confirm which district a house sits in before the job rather than on the day.

Yes. Widefield sits immediately south of Colorado Springs, inside our service area, and we come to the house for a free consultation.
